2021 Official Rules and Regulations of the Fanatically Real Redraft League 1. Overview Fantasy Sports Alliance (FSA) consists of 16 Regions spanned across the globe but is centralized in the United States. These Regions have been created based on heavily researched data. The REGIONAL MAP link shows the location of each Region along with its corresponding mascot. Not shown are the Asian and European Regions. The physical location of our members will correspond to which Region they will participate. Regions with larger membership will be broken into smaller Sub-Regions. The members in the Sub-Regions will play other members who are near each other. Each Region/Sub-Region will draft from the entire pool of NFL players. FSA will use My Fantasy League as the scoring engine for the 2021 season. Each Region will be represented as a separate “division” on My Fantasy League. The FSA regular season will begin with all Week 1 NFL games through all Week 11 games. Each team will play all the teams in their Region/Sub-Region once in head-to-head competition. The top four teams from each Region will compete for the title of Regional Champion during Weeks 12-13 of the NFL Regular Season. The World Championship playoffs will feature each of the Regional Champions (8) in a single elimination bracket. The World Championship Playoffs will begin in Week 14 with the World Champion being crowned at the conclusion of Week 16. 2. Draft The Draft Selection Day will be held on Saturday, 21 August 2021 and Sunday, 22 August 2021. Saturday, 21 August: Sunday, 22 August: On these dates, all teams will learn what draft position they are awarded for their respective Region/Sub-Region. Drafts will take place online at My Fantasy League on: Saturday, 28 August, for the... TBD Region (9am ET) Sunday, 29 August, for the... Each Region/Sub-Region will be composed of 12 teams, and each draft will last for 16 rounds, with each team selecting a player in each round in a serpentine fashion (Team 1 through Team 12 in Round 1 and Team 12 through Team 1 in Round 2). Players can be drafted at any position at any time in the draft; however, each team must have at least one player for each of the designated starting positions by the end of the draft. Each team must start a weekly lineup of 10 players and the team roster must remain at 16 players. There are no injured reserve lists beyond the team total of 16. 3. Roster Requirements Your roster must always have 16 players. 4. Starting Lineup Requirements 1 Quarterback (QB) Starting lineups will need to be submitted at least one minute before the first game of the week (usually on Thursday); however, if you have members on your roster, who are playing later in the week, you can bench and activate players if the NFL team they belong to has not already played for the week. 5. Waiver Wire Waivers put temporary freezes on unclaimed players, giving everyone a chance to make a claim on them. When this time-period ends, all waiver claims are processed and the manager with the highest waiver priority gets the player. The Waiver Wire will be a season-long rolling list. Once you have made a successful waiver wire claim, your team moves to the bottom of the Waiver Wire order. 6. Scoring Passing Rushing Receiving Kicking Defense/Special Teams 0 = 14 1 point for every sack 7. Schedule & Playoffs The first 11 weeks of the NFL Regular Season represents the Regular Season for the FSA. When the FSA Regular Season ends, the top four teams from each Region/Sub-Region will compete for the title of Regional Champion during Weeks 12-13 of the NFL Regular Season. If there is a tie among Regional teams at the end of the regular season, Points For (PF) will be used to break ties. The 8 Regional Champions will be placed in a single elimination playoff system and compete for the World Championship. The World Championship Playoffs will begin in Week 14, with the World Champion being crowned at the conclusion of Week 16. The Regional Champions will be seeded based on their Power Ranking. The 2021 Power Ranking will be calculated by using a team’s wins and a team’s all-play percentage. Power Ranking = Wins x All-Play Pct 8. Alliance Rivalry Bowl Games Those teams that runner-up in the Regional Championship round will represent their Region/Sub-Region in a Rivalry Bowl game. Each of these Bowl games will take place during Week 15 of the NFL Regular season. 9. Alliance Invitational Tournaments FSA will host three Alliance Invitational Tournaments (AIT) in 2021. One tournament will host those teams eliminated during the first round of the Regional Championship (16). The single-elimination tournament will begin Week 13 of the NFL Regular Season. The tournament will conclude in Week 16 of the NFL Regular Season and will be sponsored by a season-ending sponsor that will include an AIT Championship prize. The other two AITs will begin Week 12 of the NFL regular season. These two single-elimination tournaments will represent those teams ranked 33-64 and 65-96 according to the 2021 Power Ranking system. Each of these tournaments will be playing for an end-of-season sponsored prize. 10. Deep South Creations All-Team Bowl 2021 will be the sixth year for the All-Team Bowl. Drawing on different concepts from the NFL's Pro Bowl, the All-Team Bowl will take place as follows: a. The two general managers of the teams eliminated in the semi-final round of the World Champion will compete in the All-Team Bowl. The All-Team Bowl will determine our "third-place" team and will guarantee a larger purse. b. The All-Team Bowl will take place during Week 17 of the NFL Regular Season. This will be the week after the World Championship. c. The two general managers will redraft an all-star team to compete against each other. The draft will consist of a serpentine draft for 16 rounds. The team with the better record will decide if they want to pick first or defer so they can select players with the second and third picks. d. The entire 16-player roster of the All-Team Bowl teams will count for points in what we are calling depth chart football. The 9 starting roster spots shown below count for 100% of the points they earn during Week 17. The "second string" players will count for 50% of the points they earn and the "third string" players will count for 25% of the points they earn. The rosters will be as follows: STARTING LINE UP (100%) SECOND STRING (50%) e. During the All-Team Bowl Draft, one player from each of the 32 NFL teams must be drafted and will compete in the All-Team Bowl. For example, there are 32 roster spots for the All-Team Bowl; there are also 32 NFL teams. Once a player is drafted from an NFL team, neither All-Team Bowl general manager can draft another player from that team. To further illustrate this idea, consider: The team with the better record elects to draft first and selects Patrick Mahomes. Since team one has now chosen Mahomes, players like, Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs Defense can no longer be selected by either team. The draft will continue until a player from each NFL team has been selected. f. Following the conclusion of the draft, the general managers must submit their starting lineup, second, and third string players prior to the first game of Week 17. 11. Alliance Payout Structure $800 to World Champion ** These amounts are based on 96 members. The payout will adjust based on the number of players ** 12. FSA Honors FSA will hold an FSA Honors show during the final Fanatically Real Broadcast of the season on February 9, 2022. Honors will be given to the Top Scoring Team of the Year, General Manager of the Year (GMotY), and Rookie General Manager of the Year (RGMotY). The GMotY and RGMotY will be selected by their peers. The voting process will be conducted on Survey Monkey with the veteran players voting for the GMotY and the rookies voting for RGMotY. The process will begin following the conclusion of the Deep South Creations All-Team Bowl and continue through the NFL’s Super Bowl weekend. 13. Hall of Fame The end of the 2018 season saw our first member inducted into the Fantasy Sports Alliance Hall of Fame, while four more were enshrined at the conclusion of 2019 and one more team was enshrined at the end of 2020. The criteria to be eligible for the Hall of Fame is simple: A current or former member of Fantasy Sports Alliance must have played at least 10 years with the league. Those 10 years could be consecutively or intermittingly. To also be eligible for the Hall of Fame, a former or current member must have made a positive contribution to FSA; championships and winning records help, but they are not the only criteria. FSA staff and Hall of Fame members will nominate those members who they feel are worthy of the Hall of Fame during the Wild Card weekend of the NFL season (TBD). The voting committee will defend their Hall of Fame selection over the next several weeks and a vote will be cast during Super Bowl LVI weekend (TBD). An eligible member must receive a “go” from 80% of the committee to become a Hall of Fame member. The announcement of those who will be enshrined will be made during the FSA Honors show on the final Fanatically Real Broadcast of the season on February 9, 2022. |
